Due to the pandemic, the last 18 months have been a little different for us all at Brentnall. However, we put lots of provisions in place to ensure that adapting to the ‘new normal’ went as smooth as possible. Please see below a range of experiences that the children have been able to take part in.
- Brentnall Cinema Experience
- EYFS and Year 1 Room on the Broom Experience Day
- Christmas Panto
- Mystery Readers
Recovery Week – Reconnecting
During the first two weeks back, Brentnall based their learning around a book called ‘Here We Are’. This is a book which takes us on a tour through the land, the sea, the sky and our bodies, whilst allowing us to reflect on diversity in our school and wider community.
Please find an online video of the book being read aloud.
During this recovery week, the children completed a range of activities such as:
- wellbeing activities
- fitting back into school routines
- re-establishing relationships with peers
- celebrating lockdown achievements
This week was important to ensure that the pupils had the opportunity to ‘Reset, Recover, Rebuild’.
We are so happy to be back in school, doing what we love!
We are focusing on enjoying our learning and providing as many opportunities for our children as possible to ensure that
all learners at Brentnall can learn, respect and succeed.
