What is remote learning?

Remote learning is where pupils cannot physically be present in an educational environment. As children cannot access school to learn, their learning will take place online. It is important that children attend any virtual meetings and complete the work set by their teacher.

How will remote learning operate at Brentnall? – Class closure

When a whole class is unable to come to school they will meet twice a day via Google Classroom for a welcome activity and lesson input. Work will be set by teachers using Google Class email and children are expected to complete the work and send it back. This is a platform that the children have used regularly in the past. There are other websites that teachers can direct children to use

How will remote learning operate at Brentnall? – Individual basis

When a child needs to isolate their class teacher will be in touch via email to set work accordingly – this will be done within 24 hours of their absence being reported.
